Translation is changing a text from one language to another, reproducing in the target language the closest natural equivalent of the source-language message, A good translation conveys the meaning, style, emotion, and intent of the original.
Learning Outcomes
Students who complete the program will be able to:
– Embark on a successful career in translation.
– Have a good command of their working languages, and make translations into three languages: Arabic, English, and French.
– Practice translation in a variety of specialized areas.
– Demonstrate a high level of professionalism when working with clients.
Career Opportunities
Graduates can become certified sworn translators. They can work in NGOs, international organizations, diplomatic missions, translation offices, law offices, legal courts, travel agencies, print and web‐based media, TV and cinema. They may also teach in schools.
