Admission
AUT welcomes students who are ready to learn, grow, and prepare for their future. Applications are reviewed based on academic requirements and submitted documents, with equal consideration for all applicants.
To Enter as a Sophomore Student You Need
The Lebanese General Secondary Certificate (Shada) or its equivalent. International applicants must provide proof of graduation from a recognized high school program.
Documents to Submit With the Application
- Certified copy of Lebanese General Secondary Certificate
- Certified transcript of grades for last three high-school classes
- One recent passport-size photo
- Photocopy of identity card or passport

To Enter as a Freshman Student You Need
High school diploma—or any school leaving certificate other than the Lebanese General Secondary Certificate (previously known as “Lebanese Baccalaureate“).
Documents to Submit With the Application
- An official school document confirming the completion and passing of High School requirements.
- High school transcript for grades 10, 11, and 12.
- Exemption from the Lebanese program and authorization to join a foreign program by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE).
- SAT scores.
- One recent passport-size photo.
- Photocopy of identity card or passport.

To Enter as a Transfer Student You Need
- Lebanese General Secondary Certificate (previously known as “Lebanese Baccalaureate“)—or equivalent.
- Official transcript of undergraduate record.
- A copy of the undergraduate course descriptions certified by the university.
Documents to Submit With the Application
- A certified copy of the Lebanese General Secondary Certificate, or equivalent.
- High school transcript for grades 10, 11, and 12.
- One recent passport-size photo.
- Photocopy of identity card or passport.

Notes
- Transfer credits are granted to those courses in which the student obtained a minimum grade of “C”.
- Applicants from international universities should certify the official transcript at the embassy of the concerned country in Lebanon and at the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
To Enter as a Graduate Student You Need
- A university degree.
- A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.7.
Documents to Submit With the Application
- Certified copy of the university degree.
- Updated CV.
- Two recommendation letters.
- Official transcript of the bachelor’s degree.
- Bachelor’s degree equivalency if needed.
Application Fee $50 (non-refundable)
Conditional Admission
To remedy specific academic deficiencies, students accepted on a conditional basis may be required to take special undergraduate courses and receive a grade of “B” or better in those courses. The conditional courses will be specified in the acceptance letter.
Validity
Admission is valid only for the academic year for which the student applies.
If the student does not register during this year, the acceptance becomes invalid, and a new application must be submitted.

An Affordable University Made Even More Affordable Cost is a common barrier to higher education. We do our best to reduce the cost, to make it easier for students and their parents. Financial aid is available to students to help them cover the costs of education. It can be awarded in the form of discounts, work-study, grants, and scholarships.
How Financial Aid Works
Students can request the Financial Aid application from the Financial Aid Office. The completed form must be submitted with the required supporting documents before the official deadline. All information is treated as confidential. After submission, the Financial Aid Office reviews the file and may contact the student for an interview with a parent or legal guardian before a final decision is made
